There's just something about this song that's so pure that... well... it's undescribable. The lead in at 1:43 and the part that follows is really great. @SterlingBoyd I agree with You but although I love Petrucci, I think that Satch is putting a bit more soul in his playing. In my opinion that is what made him known and admired around the globe. He has mixed technical brilliance with soulful emotional edge perfectly. Yes- Joe Satriani IS a guitar playing machine with a heart. No better explanation :)

it's good but could have been great. the power of the original groove is lost with the faster swing, and the vocal is just overdone to smithereens. it's one thing to imbue a song with your personality, but the original power of the lyric and mood are being pushed to the side in favor of expressing some tired notion of obligatory 'individuality'. this is a problem too many soul-ful singers overlook, and this is what makes them sound cheesy... instead of legendary.
