It used to be a bit of a novelty to find one but now you almost expect to find them in the restrooms of the bigger shops. Whether or not they do much to clean, I don't know but I still prefer them. If you are using jacketed rounds, not many strokes. If you are shooting lead without the jacket, many more. No certain number, but, I generally run a brush through 8-10 times on average. That should be plenty. Shine a light from the cylinder end and look down the barrel. If you see residue after a few patches, then run the brush some more.

While it would be best to not clean from the muzzle end, you have no other choice with a revolver. I use a carbon fiber rod -- it's certainly softer than the steel of the gun. I have a Bore Snake, which is good, but I've found that one really needs to use a rod to fully clean a revolver. Good video.

In a rifle, it is discouraged. You can damage the crown (the part where the lands and grooves end) and cause the bullet to wobble just as it leaves the barrel. In most cases with a handgun, this is not a concern. Just use a brass or alluminum cleaning rod that is a softer metal than the barrel. This way the rod gets damaged rather than the barrell. On a revolver, it is hard to clean from the chamber unless you use a flexible rod like an Otis kit or a Bore Snake. Not a big deal.

Just clean the cylinder. Take a bronze bristle brush and run it through each cylinder a number of times with a good bore cleaner. If you shoot lead ammo without a jacket, it will foul quicker. That should solve the problem though. If it has built up that much, you may want to let the solvent soak a bit, then scrub it well in each chamber.

The screenplay background and character development was amazingly accurate when it comes to setting the movie in Albuquerque, capturing the atmosphere of the town and people perfectly. Fair enough. I never saw the movie, and I think it would take months for blood to turn as black as it looks in this clip. But almost every square inch in our house after Katrina was covered in that black mold, so it's pretty easy for me to spot, last time I checked. But anyway, I'll watch this film some other time. I doubt it...usually when a movie comes out this early in the year the Academy overlooks the movie & the actors performances. Not because the actors or the movie aren't good, just that it's so early and the award contenders usually get released in October, November, & December. Plus the award nominations are in February 2010. But Amy Adams might be nominated for another movie that comes out towards the end of the year.

it's a lot easier if you put the piece in an actively boiling pot on the stove. The bubbles from the boil act as an agitator and you don't have to do it more than once, you just leave it in the pot longer.

its good to clean your diamonds too. Most real stones have holes behind them in the mount so you can clean them. I have learned to love toothpaste as a cleaner for my Sterling. Just a fast rub down with the toothpaste then rinse it off. removes most tarnish in seconds. (NOTE: Some people say this puts fine scratches you can't see but never bothers me and don't use on valuable coins.) Cheap silver is ok...

You can make this easier by just putting the water in first, and some baking soda and then stir it up. Then put anything in there, the longer it remains the cleaner it gets. You dont need the baking soda all over the silver cause the soda is only ment to make the water carry electricity by salt or something.

for a dirty piece like that..... heres a tip: rub it with baking soda before u dump it in the water. depending on the size of the chain put some baking soda (dry) in a bowl about 2tbsp and put the chain in and rub away u can use ur fingers or a soft bristle toothbrush to get into small details then dump it in the wash described in the video.

The chemical reaction is between the aluminium, the sterling silver and the baking soda. (So if you have an aluminium pot, it would work or you could put al foil in the boiling hot water with baking soda until it's clean. You would see the tarnish start to coat the al - foil)

Most probably you forgot to pull the trigger. If not, then you're most probably pulling the slide too much so it resets the trigger. You should be pulling it 2-3mm max (1/8"), just enough to release the pressure on the takedown levers.

Hmm, that depends on how hard and fast you squeeze it. I've used it to clean the inside of my PC, but you do need to get your hand inside there (a few inches away from the components). Like the air cans, it just blows the dust around, so I'd tilt your PC over so most of it falls out. It does a decent job, though it won't give you the power of compressed air.

Yes, the d40 does have a mirror lock up option (for cleaning only). I'm not sure if it is in the exact same spot on the menu, but it's there. I haven't experienced dust on the viewfinder as a result, although it does seem possible. Essentially, you are just blowing the dust around (hoping that much of it falls off the sensor and out of the camera, which much of it does). If you do get dust on the finder, you could just repeat the process to try and get rid of it. Good luck!

That was sooooo cute - with your baby standing there watching you vaccuum - that so funny to because yesterday I was moving the couches to vaccuum underneath them and my one year old was standing there watching me! I was thinking - wow my life is so much easier now that my baby can walk!!!

Well dougeroonie, I've copied the three videos on here onto a DVD for watching myself and I agree. Seeing them on a large screen really does seem to double the impact. And I've just invested in a subliminal package which should allow me to add the phrases subliminally to the DVD's I'm intending to create. Should take them to infinity and beyond, don't you think?!

I think what works best is what works for you. I love Ho'oponopono. It is a beautiful, gentle, peaceful way that allows me to take responsibility for things that happen to me and puts me in control. When I use it, I bring to mind the things that I'm working on. So if I find something that bothers me, I will immediately say the phrases to address that issue. Should the mind be blank when repeating the 4 phrases or should you bring to mind some particular aspect of your life that is troubling you while you repeat the 4 phrases? Also, i'm overwhelmed by the amount of spiritual interventions out there: Ho'oponopono, meditation, scripting ('The Secret'), etc... Who the heck knows what works best? As a Christian, it's all very confusing to me :(
